mrs. brewington confidential : building bliss

In the hectic pace of planning for your wedding, one thing to keep clear is the fact that you fell in love with your soul mate. Somewhere between the butter cream, registry, and gown selection it's easy to lose sight of how it all began. You and Mr. Right. Nurturing this relationship throughout the planning of your wedding is essential. One way to do this is through pre-marital counseling.

I know what you're thinking... "What do I need counseling for, let alone pre-marital?" You've got the guy, the ring maybe even the dress. What more could a girl ask for? Well in many ways seeing a marriage counselor or participating in pre-marital counseling is an extension of planning your new life together and can become the foundation you'll need to build the life and marriage of your dreams for better or worse – right???

While you plan the details of your wedding consider signing up for a few counseling sessions. Yes your girlfriends have your back and your family is always there for you, but let’s face it their advice can be slightly one-sided. Pre-marital counseling levels the communication field and allows both of you to take an honest look at the relationship and each other. It will provide you with tools you can use that will open your partner's eyes in new ways. So, regardless of your faith, belief system, or stubborn nature jump out there and give it a try. It won't hurt or bite and can only strengthen what you already have.

Think about it… You insure all of the large priced ticket items you own (your home, your car, your fabulous jewelry), what about your marriage?
